WIP – Clara (theatrical version)

I’m working on my reinterpretation of Clara, inspired by the ballet The Nutcracker. With this character, I wanted to combine the delicate aesthetics of the theatrical production with a more mature and personal vision.

I aimed to create an angelic, innocent-looking face, the kind of Clara who still carries the purity of her fairy-tale world, yet is portrayed as a young woman with subtle, elegant sensuality.

Her figure is soft and voluptuous, designed to evoke grace and femininity. The outfit recalls elements of classical ballet costumes, while gently revealing her forms and keeping the dreamy, theatrical atmosphere intact.

In this post, I’m sharing several preparatory sketches for Clara—different ideas, poses, and moods. Only one of these versions, the one that best captures the direction of the project, will officially receive the name “Clara.”

Meanwhile, I’m already working on the Mouse King, who in my reinterpretation will naturally become a Queen in full Madame Dabi spirit: mischievous, vintage, and highly theatrical, ready to embody a darker and more seductive charm.
