A figure of otherworldly stillness, draped in layers of transparent and luminous fabric that catch the light like water in moonlight. From her crown radiate golden rays, sharp and architectural, from which long golden tassels descend and graze the body like votive offerings to an ancient rite. The hem dissolves into an ethereal bloom of hand-drawn flowers in silver, petals gathering at her feet as though the earth itself kneels before her.
This original illustration is a tribute to one of the gowns from the Specula Mundi collection by Valentino Haute Couture Spring 2026. Created with metallic soft pastels, pastel pencils, and metallic ink in my distinctive style, The Gilded Goddess reinterprets one of the collection's most iconic looks as a timeless work of art.
