Paris is Celebrating 100 years of Art deco with the exibition: 1925-2025. One Hundred Years of Art Deco

A century ago, Paris hosted the International Exhibition of Modern Decorative and Industrial Arts. It was 1925 and the world was introduced to a style that would define an era: geometric lines, luxurious materials and a new modernity.

Now, one hundred years later, the Musée des Arts Décoratifs celebrates this anniversary with over 1,000 pieces of furniture, jewelry, textiles, and even life-size interiors from the future Orient Express.

There's something about Art Deco that refuses to fade. Bold geometric patterns, sharp lines, polished metals and rich materials defining elements of a design period that continues to influence designers and artists today.

Exclusively the exhibition presents life-size interior models of the future Orient Express, reimagined by artistic director Maxime d'Angeac, alongside a 1926 Art Deco cabin from the museum's collection.

Madame Dabi & The Deco Spirit

Art Deco has always influenced my work, but what truly fascinates me is what this style represented: a break from convention.

Art Deco shattered norms. A new woman wos born during this time: the garçonne. Independent. Unapologetic. Modern.

That's what inspires my illustrations. Not the aesthetics of the past, but the spirit: women who refused to stay silent, to stay small, to fit into society's predetermined molds.

Art Deco celebrated the free, modern woman. That's what Madame Dabi celebrates today, and it’s important today more than ever.
